How can a school district that is considered in Financial Emergency requiring the state to come and another which the next step will be in the same trouble in Licking County go from extra revenue to yet another cut in state funding? I see nothing fair about any of this, and see my childs educations going down the tubes while city schools that already have everything get more money. How can you say this is fair, when those who do not have get less while those that have get more?

I feel this is still unfair for our school, West Muskingum School District. We have less then 2000 students in our district, but they claim we are “rich district”, because of our property values. West M is on the bottom 9% for spending money on our students. We are not to see any increase of funds next year and very little the following year. Our teachers and students deservers better. State Average spending per student is $9,838 West M spends $7,831 per students. We met 27 out 30 State Indicators, but we still get screwed in the end.
