School Funding Matters

School Funding Matters is an initiative of KnowledgeWorks Foundation. We believe that a fair, adequate and efficient school funding system is crucial to ensuring that all Ohio children learn the global competency skills needed to thrive in the 21st century. We also believe that educating the next generation to a higher standard of excellence is key to our state's economic well-being.

We recognize that educators must have the resources to create safe, nurturing learning environments that challenge children to achieve. As a state, we're obligated to provide those resources and to make sure they're directed at strategies proven to work.

In short, because education matters to our future, school funding matters.

Mission

Our goal is to provide Ohioans with the information and resources they need to understand and participate in the public dialogue about how Ohio schools are funded. We also provide a platform to help citizens connect with others across the state who are working to bring about school funding reform.
